$10k Fellowship for First-Year SIS Graduate Students – Dec. 7 Deadline

New $10,000 Fellowship Opportunity for first-year graduate students
SIS is excited to announce a new Fellowship for Master’s students, and invites you to apply for the DACOR Bacon House Foundation Fellowship.  The Fellowship is exclusively for tuition costs and carries a stipend of $10,000 ($5,000 per semester) to a first year SIS Master’s Student. Applicants must be in their first year of full-time graduate study, and must be US Citizens.

Students cannot apply directly to the Fellowship-they are nominated by SIS, and we nominate 3 applicants as well as one alternate.
To apply, please submit the following materials to me via e-mail (gilbert@american.edu)

1. a current resume/CV
2. an official transcript
3. an essay of approximately 600 words, expanding on the information provided in your resume, and covering such matters as special academic accomplishments, work experience, career objectives, and/or international affairs experience
All applications must be received by Monday, December 7 at noon. Our selection committee will then review all materials and work with our nominees to complete the next steps in the application process.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  To learn more about the DACOR Bacon House Foundation, visit their website at http://www.dacorbacon.org
