Spending Spring Break in DC? Shadow a Pro…

IABC/Washington , the United States’ largest single chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, is hosting IABC/Washington-Student Shadow Day on March 11, 2010. Students who sign up for the day are paired with experienced communications professionals and shadow them at their work place for the day. They can then accompany them to a chapter meeting that evening (a sit-down dinner for a student rate of $30), where they will be able to attend a great professional development presentation, New Frontiers in Strategic Communication, as well as network with others in the field. Slots are limited, and the final deadline is March 5, so if you’re interested, send an email ASAP to  Jessica Read (Jessica.a.read@gmail.com) and provide the following information required on the formal application:

  1. Name, Age, Phone, E-Mail Address, University, Current Academic Year, Major (emphasis/minor).
  2. Areas most interested in shadowing (Government; Healthcare; Non-Profit; Human Resources; Journalism; New Media;  Other).
  3. Other information you believe vital for IABC to know to better match you with a professional for the day.
