Get Out There, SOCers! (Not-To-Be-Missed Networking Opportunities) 

It can’t be repeated too many times: networking is a vital part of career building. There are many ways to cultivate relationships on your way to success; one important one is making face-time with professionals in your chosen field (we’ve even provided tips for the introverted networker in a previous post).

In addition to the many events organized by the Career Center (such as early January’s NYC Site visit trip where students were able to rub elbows with CBS Early Show anchors Harry Smith and Julie Chen, shown above; or the annual SOC Student-Alumni Networking Reception, coming up on March 2nd), it’s important to keep tabs on key professional associations in your industry.
